Verizon plans to become more expensive, but will also include more data

According to unnamed sources familiar with Verizon’s plans, the bigwig US wireless carrier is set to announce changes to its plans.

The changes, for which Verizon has asked its subscribers to ‘stay tuned,’ will make Verizon’s plans more expensive; but the price increase will also be accompanied by an increase in data.

Revealing that the more expensive Verizon plans will also include more data, sources aware of the changes said that the cost of Verizon’s low-end ‘S’ plan will be increased by $5 per month, to $35 per month. The plan will, however, come with a two-fold increase in data to 2GB.

The monthly cost of Verizon’s ‘M’ plan will go up by $5 to $50; with its data to increase from 3GB to 4GB. The cost of the ‘L’ plan will increase by $10 to $70 per month; with data to be increased from 6GB to 8GB.

Similarly, the ‘XL’ plan will undergo a $10 price increase to $90 per month, with a data bump from 12GB to 16GB; and the cost of the ‘XXL’ plan will increase by $10 to $110 per month, with its data to increase from 18GB to 24GB.
