Square Enix releases ‘Final Fantasy IX’ on iOS and Android

In an announcement made on Tuesday, Square Enix said that it has rolled out the mobile version of ‘Final Fantasy IX.’ The availability of the ‘Final Fantasy IX’ mobile version comes a couple of months after Square Enix’s December 2015 announcement that it would bring the much-liked title to mobile devices.

In announcing that ‘Final Fantasy IX’ has now been released on iOS and Android platforms, Square Enix said that the game is now available for purchase from the Apple App Store as well as the Google Play store.

The cost of the mobile version of ‘Final Fantasy IX’ currently is $17. However, after February 21, the cost of the game will be increased by 20 percent.

Going by the details shared by Square Enix, gamers who want to play ‘Final Fantasy IX’ on mobile devices should have devices powered by iOS version 7.0 or higher, or Android OS version 4.1 or higher.

Furthermore, Square Enix has also said that the downloading of the ‘Final Fantasy IX’ game to mobile devices will take some time, because it is a “very large” app. Square Enix also revealed that ‘Final Fantasy IX’ will take up nearly 4GB of memory of the iOS or Android device on which it is downloaded, and that more than 8GB of free space is required for downloading the game.
