Samsung will stream Feb 21 ‘Unpacked’ event live in 360 degree view

South Korean device maker Samsung is scheduled to officially unveil its much-anticipated Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge flagship handsets at its ‘Unpacked’ event during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, on February 21, 2016.

The ‘Unpacked’ event -- scheduled to start at 7 p.m. CET (10 a.m. PST) -- will, for the first time, be streamed live by Samsung in 360 degree view.

The 360-degree live streaming of the ‘Unpacked’ event will enable viewers all across the world to view the event from multiple angles. Since the event will be recorded from four angles, viewers will be able to check out the proceedings at the event in the four modes --- stage right, stage left, center stage, and from the auditorium.

With regard to the ‘360 live streaming’ to be presented by Samsung for the first time for the ‘Unpacked’ event, the company said that viewers will be able to watch the 360 degree view on their Android-powered mobile devices, the PC, and the Gear VR headset.

About the advantage of 360 live streaming, Samsung said: “Even if you cannot make it to Barcelona for the big event, you can still enjoy the excitement of being the first to see Samsung's newest Galaxy devices-but this time with the added benefit of seeing them unveiled through this groundbreaking and immersive platform.”
