Apple will likely launch three new iPads in 2017; “revolutionary” changes to iPad design in 2018

MacRumors has revealed in a recent report that, going by the latest predictions by well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, tech giant Apple has efforts underway to launch three new models of its iPad tablet in 2017; and introduce a “revolutionary” design change to the tablet in 2018.

According to Kuo, the three new iPads which Apple plans to launch on 2017 include a "low-cost" 9.7-inch iPad; a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro; and a second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

It is speculated that the forthcoming low-cost 9.7-inch iPad will be equipped with the A9X processor, while the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro and the second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be powered by the AX10 processors. Both the processors are exclusively supplied by TSMC.

The launch of the new size 10.5-inch iPad Pro model will apparently be a perfect fit for the current trends for the Apple iPad, especially because it will largely be aimed at the "commercial and education markets."

Meanwhile, so far as Kuo’s disclosure about Apple’s "revolutionary" design changes to the iPad in 2018 are concerned, the analyst has revealed that Apple will probably integrate a flexible AMOLED display to give the iPad "new selling points through radical form factor design and user behavior changes."
