With reviews of AMD’s new Radeon RX 480 premium quality graphics card having revealed a ‘power consumption’ issue,’ AMD has said in a recent announcement that it will soon roll out a software-based fix for the issue.

The ‘power consumption’ issue in AMD’s new Radeon RX 480 graphics card was explained by PC Perspective via a thorough test which revealed that the graphics card, when used for playing Witcher 3, consumed more than 190 W of 'sustained power draw' when it is overclocked.
