Zuckerberg surprises Ohio family with mystery dinner

Members of an Ohio family got a pleasant surprise when they learned just 20 minutes before a dinner that the mystery guest would be Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg reportedly dined with the Moore family in Newton Falls, roughly 55 miles southeast of Cleveland, on Friday. The newspaper also reported that the Facebook founder had asked his staff to locate Democrats who voted for U.S. President Donald Trump.

However, not all the chat at the dinner was political. Daniel Moore and his wife Lisa also discussed their ongoing work with an orphanage in Uganda. Zuckerberg later told them that he would plan a fundraiser to support the orphans.

In January, Zuckerberg announced on Facebook that he would challenge himself to visit people in all fifty states across the nation.

Announcing his plans, he said, “I’ve spent significant time in many states already … after a tumultuous last year, my hope for this challenge is to get out and talk to more people about how they're living, working and thinking about the future.”

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, launched by Zuckerberg and his wife Chan to support the needy, announced that he paid a visit to Youngstown’s Eastern Gateway Community College on the same and met with several people recovering from opioid addiction in Dayton on Saturday.
