Shadow Moses Project team announces ‘The Fan Legacy: Metal Gear Solid’

In an announcement made this week, the team of developers behind the now-discontinued Shadow Moses Project -- an unauthorized remake of Metal Gear Solid game -- has revealed that it is working on a new project called 'The Fan Legacy: Metal Gear Solid.'

The newly-announced 'The Fan Legacy: Metal Gear Solid' project announced by the Shadow Moses Project team will be a virtual reality (VR) museum dedicated to the Metal Gear Solid series.

The announcement of the new project comes within nearly a few weeks of the cancellation of the Shadow Moses Project, which involved the remake of Metal Gear Solid on the Unreal Engine 4. The cancellation of the project was an upshot of a cease and desist letter from Metal Gear owner Konami.

In announcing the new 'The Fan Legacy: Metal Gear Solid' project, the team behind Shadow Moses Project said that the new effort will essentially unfold a first-person experience which will give Metal Gear Solid fans a chance to revisit some of the most symbolic levels of the game in the form of a virtual museum.

Revealing that there will be no need for stealth for 'The Fan Legacy: Metal Gear Solid' project, the team said that the VR experience will be available for free download on PC this May. The team also said that the project "will feature many pieces of amazing fan art from devoted lovers of the series and our collaborators."
