Nvidia launches its first ever video game --- VR Funhouse

On Thursday, Nvidia announced the launch of its first video game --- VR Funhouse. The game has been developed by Nvidia essentially with the motive of showcasing its virtual reality (VR) technology.

The newly-launched Nvidia VR Funhouse game is a free VR game which is available via Valve's Steam distribution platform for entertainment titles. However, the game can be played only on the $799-priced HTC Vive VR headset.

The VR Funhouse game has been built using Unreal Engine 4. The game demonstrates several VRWorks and GameWorks technologies, like FleX particle-based simulations, Nvidia Flow fluid simulations, Multi-Res Shading, HairWorks, and PhysX.

Gamers interested in playing the Nvidia VR Funhouse game will need an immensely powerful gaming system.

If the gaming system has a GeForce GTX 1060, 1070, 980 Ti, or Titan X graphics card, the gamers can run the VR Funhouse game on 'low' settings. However, to play the game at medium quality, gamers would need a system equipped with a GTX 1080 graphics card; and for playing the game at high quality, gamers would require a single GTX 1080 or two GTX 1070s, Titan Xs, or 980 TIs in SLI.
