Google to open office space in San Francisco for Launchpad Accelerator program

In an announcement made on Thursday, tech giant Google said that it is setting up a dedicated new office in San Francisco, for the participants of the company’s international startups program – Launchpad Accelerator. The program offers assistance to startups in those parts of the world which hardly have any access to financial investment or business development resources.

The new office which Google is opening for the international startups program is a 14,000-square-foot space located at 301 Howard Street in San Francisco. The location of the new office is at a distance of only a few blocks from Google’s main San Francisco office on Spear Street.

Announcing that the new office for the Launchpad Accelerator program is scheduled for opening in September, Google said that the office will basically be a dedicated space for hosting the meetings of the Google Developer Group community. In addition, the office will also offer an event space for Codelabs, Design Sprints, and Tech Talks.

With the companies participating in Google’s Launchpad Accelerator program presently including startups from Sao Paulo, Bangalore, Jakarta, and Mexico City, Google said in reference to the new office space for the program: “This dedicated space will enable us to regularly engage with developers and serve their evolving needs, whether that is to build a product, grow a company or make revenue.”
