Google to give users option to test drive apps directly from Google Search

Tech giant Google has recently announced a list of changes for app developers on its Android mobile platform. One of the changes announced by Google will unfold an option for users to test drive Android apps -- specifically games -- straight from Google Search results.

The change enlisted by Google basically marks an expansion of the ‘Stream’ option which Google had announced for mobile apps in November 2015.

According to the details shared by Google, when users enable the option to test drive apps/games, a ‘Try Now’ button will show up. A click on the button allows users to play a portion of the game, before they may eventually choose to install the game directly from Google Play.

Revealing that users will be able to test drive an app/game for up to 10 minutes, which can potentially lead to worthy downloads for developers, Google has said in a recent blog post: “Using this format, you can drive qualified users who are likely to stay engaged with your game after install.”

About the availability of the test drive feature, Google said that it will roll out the feature over the next few weeks.
