First trailer of fan-made ‘Metal Gear Solid’ remake released

The first video trailer for the ‘Shadow Moses’ game has been released. ‘Shadow Moses’ has been created by Airam Hernandez, and is essentially a fan-made remake of the original ‘Metal Gear Solid’ game – using the Unreal Engine 4 - which was launched in 1998.

The video trailer of ‘Shadow Moses’ game appears to be quite impressive, it still hints that the game is still a ‘work in progress.’

Moreover, Hernandez has also acknowledged the fact that ‘Shadow Moses’ is an entirely unofficial remake of the original Metal Gear Solid (MGS) game, and that the ‘Shadow Moses’ project will likely be shuttered by Konami, the owner of MGS rights.

Hernandez further explained, via Eurogamer, that the ‘Shadow Moses’ project has been created without the involvement of MGS rights-owner Konami, and said: “We just need to clarify something: Konami owns the MGS copyright and therefore sooner or later we will need their full permission.”

Hernandez also added that the move to release the ‘Shadow Moses’ trailer underscores an effort to openly share the project from the outset, so as to ensure that any issues which may arise subsequently can be effectively handled. Hernandez said that the decision to openly share the ‘Shadow Moses’ project is “better than putting years of work into a project only to get it shut down.”
