EA Access going for free for Xbox Live Gold members this week

According to a new promotion announced by EA Games via its website, the EA Access subscription service will be available ‘for free’ for Xbox Live Gold members this week.

The cost of the EA Access subscription service otherwise is $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The service gives gamers the ability to play reasonably new games from a steadily growing vault on the Xbox One gaming console.

As per the details shared by EA Games on its website, the period of free availability of EA’s trove of Access games for Xbox One owners with Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will begin on Tuesday, January 19, and will run through Sunday, January 24.

The EA Access promotion announced by EA Games implies that, during the mentioned days of free EA Access availability this week, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download a number of games – including Battlefield Hardline, Titanfall, Sports UFC, NBA Live 15, Madden 25, FIFA 14, FIFA 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition, among others - through the EA Access Hub app, and play these games in full, during the promotion period.

In addition, EA’s vault of Access games which will be available for free to Xbox Live gold subscribers this week also include EA Sports games like Madden NFL and FIFA. However, since the latest versions of these games have not been added to the EA Access service, gamers will have to be content with the 2015 versions.
