Drunk woman in Wisconsin forces 9-year-old daughter to drive pickup truck with infant inside

According to a Fox affiliate KMSP the report, a drunk mother in Polk County, Wisconsin, allegedly allowed her nine-year-old daughter to drive a pickup truck, with an infant strapped into a car seat.

The incident came to light when a 911 caller reportedly sighted an erratically driven pickup truck on rural Wisconsin roads.

In response to the 911 call, police in Polk County tracked down the pickup truck at a public boat launch along the Apple River. Deputy Jeff Hahn revealed that a nine-year-old girl was found steering the wheel. The police also found, in the truck, the girl's intoxicated mother Amanda Eggert; the mother's equally intoxicated boyfriend Jason Roth; and an 11-month-old baby.

In his description of the incident, Hahn said that the girl had been driving the truck for miles along rural roads. Hahn said that when the girl exited the truck, Roth turned off the ignition, causing the truck to roll backwards down the hill. Hahn then jumped into the truck to hit the brakes and put the truck in park.

Hahn also said that Roth blew .25 on a breathalyzer test; more than three times the .08 DUI legal limit in Wisconsin. Hahn also said that Eggert and Roth are facing charges of child neglect and second degree recklessly endangering safety.
