A bundle of 100 classic Atari games coming to Steam this spring

In a recent announcement, Atari has revealed that it will soon be releasing re-imagined versions of its 100 classic games on the Steam platform. The classics will be bundled together in a package called ‘Atari Vault,’ which is scheduled to come to Steam PCs in spring this year.

According to the announcement, the forthcoming ‘Atari Vault’ Steam bundle of 100 iconic Atari games is currently being developed by Code Mystics. The Atari classics which comprise the bundle have been retooled and enhanced, in accordance with the needs of the present-day gamers.

The expected cost of the upcoming ‘Atari Vault’ bundle has not been officially disclosed by Atari. However, the company has said that it will demonstrate the bundle, and share more details about it, at the PAX South event to be held later this month.

The classic Atari games which will be a part of the soon-to-be-launched ‘Atari Vault’ Steam bundle include Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Tempest, and Warlords, among others.

The ‘Atari Vault’ collection of games for Steam will boast the inclusion of several new game features, like local and online multiplayer, in-game upgrades, as well as Steam controller support. As per Atari’s claims, the Steam controller will lead to "significantly improved precision control", as it will do away with the classic Atari 2600 joystick gameplay.
