Apple releases seventh beta of iOS 10 for developers and public testers

On Friday, tech giant Apple announce the unexpected release of a new iOS beta -- iOS 10 beta 7 -- for developers as well as public beta testers. The seventh beta of iOS is identified as build 14A5345a.

The launch of the iOS 10 beta 7 for both developers and public beta testers comes barely four days after the release of the sixth developer beta of Apple’s forthcoming iOS 10 mobile operating software. The final version of iOS 10 is scheduled for release in September.

Since Apple typically launches new iOS beta releases earlier in the week, mostly on a Monday or Tuesday, the out-of-turn launch of iOS 10 beta 7 on Friday, August 19, is a possible indication of the fact that Apple had seemingly discovered -- and quickly eliminated -- a critical bug in iOS 10 beta 6.

With Apple having rolled out iOS 10 beta 7, developers and public beta testers who want to update to the latest beta can go over to the Settings app of their iPhone or iPad.

Meanwhile, so far as the upcoming official launch of the final version of iOS 10 is concerned, the new software will include significant notification enhancements, including 3D Touch support on the lock screen. Moreover, the new software will also enable third-party app developers to tap into Apple’s Siri digital assistant for voice control.
