According to a Bloomberg report, tech biggie Apple is planning to release refreshed versions of several Mac models, and unveil new software features for the iPad Pro at an October event.

The report, based on the information shared by unidentified sources, said that Apple will likely roll out a fresh batch of hardware -- including a high-resolution 5K display built in collaboration with LG -- for the Macs, at the event in October.

In addition, the tech giant will also likely announce refreshed models of MacBook Air and iMac, and release new iPad Pro software catering to professional users.

Going by the Bloomberg report, Apple is apparently working to launch upgraded MacBook Air hardware with multi-function USB-C port, along with releasing an AMD graphics options for iMac. The report substantiates renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's predictions – in May – that Apple is working on a substantial overhaul of MacBook Pro, equipping it with an OLED touch bar, USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 and other features, packed in sleeker aluminum chassis.

Meanwhile, so far as the iPad Pro is concerned, new software is being developed by Apple to enable the device to further take advantage of the unique user input capabilities of the Apple Pencil. In more specific terms, Apple is evidently considering the integration of annotation features across the iOS operating environment, including apps such as Safari, Mail, and iMessage.
