Apple announces ‘Ring in the New Year Challenge’ for Apple Watch users

On Wednesday, the users of Apple Watch smartwatch all over the world received a push notification from Apple, announcing a ‘Ring in the New Year Challenge.’

Encouraging Apple Watch owners worldwide to take part in the ‘Ring in the New Year Challenge,’ Apple said in its push notification that the challenge is scheduled to start on January 2, 2017.

Revealing that the concept of the ‘Ring in the New Year Challenge’ is fairly simple, Apple said that the challenge will basically require the Apple Watch users to complete all three of their activity goals -- Move, Exercise, Stand -- every day for at least one week in January.

As such, the ‘Ring in the New Year Challenge’ will encourage Apple Watch users to close all of their three Activity rings by running, swimming, or doing a cross-training activity of their choice to fill the quota.

Apple Watch users who successfully complete their three Activity goals from Monday to Sunday for at least one week in January will get a special achievement medal, along with an iMessage sticker pack to brag about their performance.
