Acer launches touchscreen Chromebase for meetings

In a recent announcement, Acer has announced the launch of its first touchscreen Chromebase for meetings.

The newly-launched Acer Chromebase for meetings is an all-in-one, dedicated video conference system which has been designed for small spaces like desktops, phone booths, and huddle spaces. It has the capability to keep track of schedules and support 25-person Hangouts sessions, even with people who do not have Google accounts.

Announcing the launch of Chromebase for meetings, Acer said that all-in-one video conference system is now available in the US for $799. The cost of Chromebase for meetings includes $250 management and support fee for the first year. Other than the US, Chromebase for meetings is also available in Canada, UK, Ireland, and Australia.

Sharing details about Chromebase for meetings, Acer said that the Chromebase features a 24-inch, 720p touchscreen display, an adjustable camera, two speakers and a four-mic array which can be used for conferencing.

In addition, the Chromebase also comes with a number of ports at the back, including three for USB 3.0, one for USB 2.0, a headphone port, and an SD card reader. The device also includes remote management tools which can be used by an office IT team to troubleshoot several issues, like video and audio quality.
